PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY:

Watauga Orthopaedics is located in Johnson City in East Tennessee. Watauga Orthopaedics (W.O.) has been providing quality orthopaedic care to the tri-state area since 1950. This six-month fellowship involves rotations in General Orthopaedics, Hand, Spine, Foot/Ankle, Physical Therapy, Trauma, Radiology and Sports Medicine.

Watauga Orthopaedics has been providing medical coverage for two area universities and several area high schools. Watauga Orthopaedics is affiliated with the Quillen College of Medicine as well as Mountain States Health Alliance. Mountain States Health Alliance runs Johnson City Medical Center, a Level I trauma center.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • NCCPA certified or eligible
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Curriculum vitae or resume

  • $300 books and supplies
  • $350-$500 housing (cost of a one-bedroom furnished apartment per month)
